Sounds Like Suzie Five days have passed in silence Footsteps make sole reminders That we could share the senses That make the monsters above us And at two in the sad A.M. The voices they growl again and oh One sounds like Suzie. Sometimes we call the lawman Can't help but get involved with These things that make the mornings a time when monsters ignore love At two in the sad A.M. The voices they growl again and oh One sounds like Suzie. Strange word exchange between them Wonder why she sees him Maybe the bottle's stronger than love And now she's the monster At two in the sad A.M. The voices they growl again and oh One sounds like Suzie. © 1996 Eyedazzler Music

Brasil '66 Months of mine Have taken toll to lessen love It leaves me so lost inside And the sky splits up in two And it floods the time with you Swivel soft Wrestle fold Never thought Pushed to the point that I'd find And the sky splits up in two And it floods the time with you © 1996 Eyedazzler Music

Jetpacks for Julian Unknown in him He thought he saw UFOs then Jesus Half the things we talked about Left little room for me to doubt That Julian had seen it all On his rocket ride past the stars I never got that far Unfolding him A hand of the smallest size so perfect Half the things we talked about Left little room for me to doubt That Julian had seen it all On his rocket ride past the stars I never got that far I never got that far I never got that far With him I never got that far I never got that far With him © 1995 Eyedazzler Music

about

A comely collection of 8-track cassette portastudio demos which Alison's Halo recorded in 1996 in preparation for their debut "Eyedazzler" CD. These songs were eventually excluded from the album due to their stylistic differences with the rest of the material, but the impressive songwriting showcased here definitely displays a band in transition. Gentler dynamics, expansive arrangements and playful meters all clear a musical path for Catherine Cooper's heavenly voice to shine through.
